Today is Sunday, and as usual, we kicked off our day with the whole family attending Mass together. It's become a cornerstone of our weekly routine, grounding us in faith and togetherness.

As the Mass ended, my kids did something that always warms my heart. They eagerly ran up to the priest, their little faces beaming as they asked for his blessing. Watching them gently take the priest's hand and press it to their foreheads in respect is a moment I cherish every week. With blessings received, they darted back to us, ready for the next part of our day.

We piled into the car, the kids' energy filling the space with chatter and laughter. My husband turned to me with that familiar glint in his eye. "Let's stop by the fish shop in Sta. Ana," he suggested, much to the delight of our little ones. Their shared love for aquatic life never fails to amaze me.

Our next stop was Barron's Barbershop near Ateneo de Davao's Matina Campus. It had become our go-to place for haircuts, and for good reason. The place is always clean and cozy, providing a comfortable environment for the kids. Plus, their prices are reasonable, which is always a bonus for a family outing.

I settled into one of the waiting chairs, watching as my husband and kids took their turns in the barber's chair. The skilled barbers worked efficiently, transforming shaggy hair into neat, tidy cuts. It's more than just a haircut here; it's become a part of our family tradition.

With fresh haircuts and big smiles, we headed Pets Marketing fish shop in Sta. Ana. My husband's eyes lit up as we entered, immediately drawn to the rows of tanks. The kids pressed their faces against the glass, pointing out colorful fish and unusual sea creatures. I hung back, content to watch them bond over their shared interest.

Their enthusiasm was infectious. Even though I'm not as passionate about fish as they are, seeing their joy makes these trips special. They spent time discussing the different species, debating which ones would be good additions to our home aquarium. It's in these moments that I see how these simple outings strengthen our family bond.

Time flew by, and before we knew it, it was time to head home for our family lunch. As we drove back, the car was filled with excited chatter about their favorite fish from the shop and plans for our next visit.

These Sundays, with their mix of spiritual time, family traditions, and shared interests, have become the backbone of our family life. From the solemnity of Mass to the practical task of haircuts and the wonder of the fish shop, each part of our routine brings us closer together.

As we approached home, the aroma of lunch already filling my thoughts, I felt grateful for these simple yet meaningful Sundays. They're more than just a way to start our week – they're how we nurture our family bonds, one Sunday at a time.
